The day that dreams are made of

A full slate, seven plays, zero losses. Here's how it played out on a day I've been chasing for years.

I’ve been sharing MLB betting tips publicly since 2020, and I’ve been betting baseball longer than that. For years I’ve been chasing the same thing: a perfect card on a full slate, with all 30 teams in action.

On 31 March 2026 (Australia time), it finally happened.

Winning is great. Winning and having a bunch of people sweating along with you in real time is even better. Every play below was posted on social before first pitch. This is how the Perfect Day unfolded.

The Card (7–0)

Rangers @ Orioles

Leiter/Bassitt 11+ Combo Ks1U @ 2.40 (SB)

This one started shaky. Bassitt was in a world of pain early. He couldn’t throw strikes, either to hitters or at baserunners (just search "Bassit throw" on X and you'll see what I mean). Pitch count ballooned and he finished with only 3 Ks.

The star here was Jack Leiter. He fanned 8 and dragged us over the number to get the day started with a collect.

Pirates @ Reds

Burns 6+ Ks + Reds Win1U @ 2.10 (Bet365)

Burns was priced ridiculously short at 1.55 for Over 7.5 Ks. Too low a price and too high a line. When that happens, I’ll often look for a better number by pairing it with a result I like.

The read was right. Burns threw 78 pitches, went 5 scoreless, and struck out 7. The standalone K bet would’ve lost, but the double cashed when the Reds pen closed out a 2–0 win.

White Sox @ Marlins

Over 8.01U @ 1.90 (Bet365)

I liked what I’d seen from both offences early, and this total felt too low for two back-end starters.

This was the easiest watch of the whole card. The White Sox put up 4 in the 3rd, then 4 more in the 4th thanks to a Miguel Vargas grand slam. Miami answered with a two-run shot from Liam Hicks, and we were sitting at 8–2 after four innings. Cash.

Nationals @ Phillies

Over 9.01U @ 1.86 (Bet365)

Same setup as the last one. Two offences in favourable matchups against hittable starters.

Again, the road side did the early damage. The Nats were up 7–0 after three innings. Philly chipped in a couple later, and Nationals runs in the 6th took it to 9–2. Another painless over. We’re 4–0 with three plays left.

Athletics @ Braves

Elder 5+ Strikeouts1.25U @ 1.76 (Bet365)

This was the shortest price on the card, and it never felt safe. I wanted to attack Oakland hitters in the strikeout market after they got torn up by Toronto in the opening series.

Elder got one in the 1st, then sat on that single K for way too long. An ABS challenge in the 4th added another (2 total), but the magic happened in the 5th: he struck out Muncy, McNeil and Kurtz to jump from 2 to 5 in one inning and get us home.

Red Sox @ Astros

Suárez/McCullers 10+ Combo Ks1.25U @ 2.00 (SB)

This one played out like the Leiter/Bassitt bet. I expected a more even split, but Ranger Suárez struggled and finished with 3 Ks.

Lance McCullers Jr. did the heavy lifting, striking out 9 and nearly covering the combo on his own. He looked back to his best. Keep an eye out because he’ll feature again in future tips.

Side note: I also had 8+ Lance Ks @ 7.50 as a small extra, which tells you everything about how I felt about his early-season prop value.

Yankees @ Mariners

SGM: Weathers 5+ Ks + Castillo 5+ Ks1.5U @ 2.25 (Bet365)
Top-up: 7+ Ks each0.25U @ 11.00 (Bet365)

Best bet of the day. We cashed the base and the top-up at 11/1.

The Weathers side was painless. He cruised through the Mariners and never looked in doubt. Castillo was trickier. He had 5–6 strikes overturned via ABS challenges, including at least one moment that took a strikeout off the board. He still got stretched out to 95 pitches, one of the highest pitch counts of the opening turn, and we needed most of them.

He left Aaron Judge holding a sword in the 7th. A check swing appeal was ruled a strikeout, and Castillo finished an impressive 2-hit, 0-run night. At that point we were airborne. One play left.

Guardians @ Dodgers

Guardians Team Total Over 3.51U @ 1.86 (SB)

Anyone who’s followed me for a while knows I love a play against the grain. Cleveland’s offence had been leaving opportunities out there against Seattle, so the market wasn’t exactly keen.

They made Roki Sasaki work early, limited him to 4 innings, and got a run off him. The Dodgers bullpen had to cover plenty, and Cleveland finally broke through properly when they loaded the bases in the 7th. A Schneemann double plated two, the runs came, and we completed the sweep.

7–0. Perfect card.

Final note

This was just the fifth day of the 2026 season, and the first day with all 30 teams in action. I’ll be tipping regularly all season like I have for years, so if you want the plays before first pitch, turn notifications on for X and Instagram.
